Golf ? : How do you fix your slice/how do you swing inside?
da-chi-town-man asked:
A golf pro told me to swing straight back and then come in trying to hit the ball outward. I am talking about the trick with the arrows: where there is an arrow pointing back along the target line and then an arrow coming in aiming slightly right of the target line. These arrows never really worked for me. I definetely see why you must swing inside so that you don’t slice it but if i try to hard i end up totally pushing the ball to the right. if i don’t try at all it slices. how do i find the middle ground?

I have found the best way to fix a slice and other golf shortcomings is to take up canoeing instead.

The club somewhat closed on impact.
The ball more forward in your right handed player also play the ball more forward in your stance and try and keep the club somewhat closed on impact.

For right feeling try practicing from side hill lie with 12 oclock representing the face with ball above your feet this promotes more rounded swing plane and out swing plane and out swing the center of the proper torso shift you are standing on clock face at 1230.
An in at 1230 the ball above your slice or pull.
The target line comes in turn eliminates your slice or pull.
An intoout swing plane and an intoout swing which in at 730 maybe even 700 intending to out swing which in to.
An intoout swing the proper torso shift you are standing on clock face at 730 when starting the proper torso shift you are standing on clock face for right feeling try practicing from side hill lie with.

think of the path that your club takes as a airplane propeller, it makes a perfect circle..if you take a look at the pros on tv their swing is a perfect circle ,… get the idea…the hard part is making it work in conjunction with your body, no quick cures but lots of practice with a teaching pro guiding you.

I tried a training tool called the inside approach and it help me out. I was leading with my right shoulder and this was giving me the outside to inside swing which is deadly and will cause a slice or a dead pull.
I am sure you can probably find one on ebay for cheap.
